Fabco-Air 由Alfred W.Schmidt于1958年创立，较初在俄亥俄州克利夫兰开展业务。Original Pancake?气缸亮相并迅速成为紧凑型气缸市场的产品，并将在未来60年及以后保持这一地位。这个圆柱体经常被模仿但从未匹配过，它继续提供与它被发明时相同的定制选项、功能和强度。
